John Norris has also conducted Battlefield tours to visit the sites along the Western Front from the First World War such as the Somme and the Ypres salient, where he is able to discuss the weapons and technology of the war. He has also assisted on other battlefield tours, such as the 'Third Reich Epic Tour', the itinerary for which included visits to the famous Colditz Castle prisoner of war site, Belsen and Dachau.

Most of these battlefield tours are conducted on behalf of a leading specialist tour operator, and the itineraries are constructed in such a way that guests see the very best and most important aspects of each campaign. However, it does not just stop there, and John Norris is developing other itineraries for future military history tours. These will include:

Tanks and Artillery of World War One and World War Two.

The Island of Corsica in World War Two: The Guerrilla War.

The Atlantic Wall: Hitler's Defences.

The U-Boat War 1939-45.
